THE Farnham Society has appealed for the public to add their weight to opposition to plans for a temporary bridge to take construction traffic from the A31 to the East Street redevelopment site.

The society is accusing developers Crest Nicholson Sainsbury's of "an embarrassing and entirely unconvincing U-turn" in promoting a scheme that just months ago it portrayed as an environmental disaster.
