THE monthly organ recital at St Andrew’s Parish Church in Farnham will be given on Tuesday, November 10, by Mark Brafield who combines a profession as a solicitor and judge with a career as a concert organist.
Mark studied with David Sanger, Gillian Weir and Stephen Farr. He held an organ scholarship with an open scholarship in English literature at Trinity College Oxford and is a fellow and trustee of the Royal College of Organists.
He regularly appears at leading UK venues and has given recitals in Basle, New York, Beauvais Catherdral and Notre Dame de Paris.
His programme will begin with Alleluyas by Simon Preston, Bach’s Nun Komm, der Heiden Heiland, Cathédrales by Vierne, Etude 1X by Marian Sawa, concluding with Henri Mulet’s Tu es Petra
The recitals starts at 1.10pm and last about 45 minutes. Refreshments are available or take your own. There is no charge for the recital and any donations are put towards expenses. Everyone most welcome.
