ORGANISERS of Heritage Open Days in Farnham have apologised after an incorrect phone number for Farnham Castle was included in the event brochure for this year’s event.
The castle will host free guided tours of the Bishop’s Palace from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on Thursday, September 10, accompanied by afternoon tea (£15 per person - optional), music by the Farnham Chamber Music Society and costume displays.
Advance booking is required for afternoon tea by calling 01252 721194 - not the number printed in the brochure - or email [email protected].
The booking deadline for teas, originally this Saturday (September 5), will be extended “for as long as possible” before the event itself on September 10.
Farnham Castle’s Living History Exhibition will also be open during the Heritage Open Days weekend (September 10 to 13), from 9am to 5pm on the Thursday and Friday, and 10am to 4pm on the Saturday and Sunday.
The Farnham Heritage Open Days brochure can be found online at www.farnhamsociety.org.uk or www.farnham.gov.uk, and hard copies are available at the town council offices and other public buildings in the town.
