THE Alton Show will not be taking place in 2015 after organisers and landowners have been unable to "reconcile" their differences.

Having announced the success of its earlier recruitment drive and its intention to stage the show next July, the management committee of The North East Hampshire Agricultural Association has had to cancel the event.

Association president Richard Buer said that after a committee meeting on September 30 and having spent "a great deal of time looking at all the options" they took the "difficult decision" to cancel the show following issues with landowners.
