BUTTERFLIES Pre-School Playgroup in Four Marks has been judged ‘outstanding’ across the board following an Ofsted inspection in October.

And owner Sarah Nisbet and her team are “over the moon” with the rating.

Mrs Nisbet said: “It is so amazing that the team’s hard work and dedication has been recognised. I couldn’t be prouder.”

In her report, the Ofsted inspector said: “Staff have an excellent understanding of how children learn and what to do to support their progress.

“They plan interesting activities and experiences that build on children’s interests. All children make rapid progress in their learning.

“Along with the manager, staff continually assess their own practice and are proactive in identifying their training needs. They challenge themselves to extend their knowledge and teaching practices.

“Support for children who have special educational needs or disability is outstanding.”

Butterflies Pre-school Playgroup caters for children from the age of two. Based at Four Marks village hall, the group currently has a waiting list until January 2018 but is looking to open more sessions to meet demand.
