A UNIQUE caravan with huge sentimental value was stolen from a driveway in Headley Down during the early hours of last Thursday morning. The caravan was hitched to a large pickup truck and was dragged down the road for a considerable distance with the brakes still on. The caravan (right) was made by its owners and is therefore an unusual model. It is white with a cream coloured stripe along the side and has a number of distinguishing features. It is an all-fibreglass construction and is quite an unusual shape in that it has a raised centre section to the roof with small window and vents in it. Another very unusual feature is that it has two doors – one on either side. The owner said: "The caravan was bought in 1974 as a bare shell on a chassis and my father and I then spent two years fitting it out and finishing it, inside and out, to our own design. "It has been used for family holidays ever since and we have even travelled quite extensively in Europe with it. "It is an old caravan but is still in good condition and has 34 years of sentimental attachment which is worth more than the caravan itself.  "We would be pleased to hear from anyone who has seen it or has any information as to its whereabouts and would be willing to offer a reward for its safe return." If you have any information call Whitehill Police on 0845 045 4545.
