KEEN youngsters lined up the annual pancake race around the streets of Alton on Tuesday.

They raced up Cross and Pillory Lane and around the Market Square before crossing the finishing line in front of the town hall.

The traditional event was run ahead of Shrove Tuesday to coincide with the half-term school holidays.
