A TALKING cat, an evil pirate and a dashing hero falling for a nobleman's daughter, it could only mean one thing - pantomime time at Bordon Junior School.

Following the success of their Christmas show, the pupils gave up the stage for the professional players from M&M productions, who entertained with an outstanding production of Dick Whitting-ton.

The pantomime is an annual event at the school and is eagerly anticipated by all. It is funded by the friends' and parents' association, which raises money for the school and, most recently, purchased a minibus for the infant and junior schools.

Jonathan Reilly, deputy headteacher, praised the production.

He said: "Just like any home, when the decorations come down and the excitement of Christmas has died down, returning to work or school can be a challenge. The pantomime is something the whole school can enjoy together."
