CONCERNS that a parish council will be forced to take control of a beauty spot in Liss have been allayed by a senior councillor.
The leader of East Hampshire District Council has apologised for suggestions that it wanted to transfer the maintenance of Riverside Railway Walk.
A statement claiming that EHDC was looking to offload its maintenance duties at rural sites went before Liss Parish Council in July.
But Ken Moon and fellow district councillor Judy Onslow have stressed it's business at usual at Riverside Walk and Hawksmead.
