WAVERLEY Borough Council has ordered a study into the condition of the former landfill site in Weydon Lane, so its future public uses can be considered. The 10-acre site has until until now been blighted by gas emissions as a legacy of waste deposits. But Waverley is keen to see if it could become a park or recreation area in the future following investment. For full story, see this week's Farnham Herald.
