THE first phase of major redevelopment work at the former coalyard in Petersfield is about to be completed with big bonuses for commuters at the railway station.

Railtrack is carrying out work to the tune of £500,000 to the station as phase one of the plans. The biggest improvement is the expansion of the station car park to provide another 56 spaces.
