LIFE looks set to get tougher for commuters accustomed to grabbing free on-street parking spaces and Sunday shoppers seeking an easy parking slot on Farnham's main street.

An explosion of double yellow lines and other new limitations - many of them to the benefit of residents' parking permit holders - is on the cards.

Surrey County Council has carried out a major review of on-street parking restrictions across Waverley and some major changes for Farnham are up for consideration.
