SURREY County Council's proposal to impose £50 permits on residents parking on-street by their homes in Firgrove Court and Trafalgar Court has been attacked as "nothing short of a further tax on residents".
Most of those affected will be pensioners, one Firgrove Court resident has protested to The Herald, claiming there will be a disproportionate effect on them both financially and in practical terms.
The scheme is among a number of wide-ranging proposals for changes to on-street parking restrictions in Farnham which have resulted from a Surrey County Council review.
