HASLEMERE town council is to write to Surrey County Council expressing its "extreme disappointment" at the lack of time given to examine proposals for residents' parking permits before today's meeting of the Waverley Local Committee, at Haslemere Hall.

The county council has published its proposals after a preliminary public consultation in July and August.

But the report and meeting agenda was only published on September 6, giving the town council just days to examine the proposals in detail and prepare a response.
