BLACKMOOR and Whitehill Women’s Institute celebrated its 100th birthday on Saturday with a centenary bench tea party.
The members unveiled a commemorative bench at Whitehill village hall to mark the milestone.
The celebrations also included a cream tea and entertainment for young and old alike.
The first women’s institute was founded in Canada and the concept gained traction in Britain during and after the First World War.
