TO celebrate their part in the gold award-winning success of Farnham in Bloom this year, the Bourne Beautification Project - a combination of The Bourne Residents’ Association and Bourne Conservation Group plus councillor Carole Cockburn - jointly provided a thank you to all those who assisted this year’s endeavours, at the Lower Bourne crossroads on Saturday evening.

Not all of the project’s hands-on helpers could attend but Val Nye of the project thanked everyone present for their continued practical support in making the area along the A287 down Gravel Hill to beyond the shops in Lower Bourne more attractive and pleasant for everyone who lives nearby or passes through, while also providing an environmentally-friendly wild-life habitat there.
