A BLACKMOOR man was killed after the car he was travelling collided with a tree, last Friday evening.

Twenty-year-old Joshua Bryant was a front-seat passenger in an orange Peugeot 206, travelling between Whitehill and Passfield, when the accident happened in Liphook Road, Whitehill.

The driver - a 21-year-old man from Bordon, who has not been named - lost control of the car, according to police.

The 20-year-old passenger died at the scene while the driver, who sustained life-threatening injuries, was taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford, before being transferred to St George's Hospital, in Tooting.

Police are appealing for witnesses to call Sgt Darren Ord at Eastleigh Police Station on 101.
