Police have stepped up patrols at heathland sites around Waverley following complaints about illegal off-road bikes and vehicles.
Patrols have been carried out around Frensham Ponds, Thursley Common, The Devil’s Punch Bowl and Hankley Common in recent weeks.
Officers found that most cyclists, walkers and users at the sites were using byways responsibly but they needed to deal with others “robustly”.
They also chatted with National Trust members on how to report anti-social vehicle use and dog walkers about how to avoid livestock worrying.
“Officers also met with the MOD training safety team at Hankley to discuss issues around off-road bikes, cars and issues relating to poaching,” said a spokesperson, adding that more patrols are planned in the near future.
