THE curtain went up on a record-breaking show by Farnham Dance at Frensham Height’s Aldridge Theatre in July.
The dance company’s fourth summer charity show saw a record number of participants - more than 300 dancers performing for nearly 1,000 audience members - and a record donation to the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice of £3,000.
Pictured are ‘Peas in a Pod’ Poppy, Eva, Alice, Ella-Grace, Jessica, Alyssa and Emily, Charleston dancer Lexie with principal Fiona Barnard and the hospice’s community fundraiser Leanne Magee.
The school offers classes in ballet, tap and modern dance for children from two-and-a-half years to adult.
All age groups took part in the show with 22 original dances ranging from Mrs Tiggy Winkle’s Laundry, Food, Glorious Food, a Charleston medley, ’Cats’ and a dramatic staging of a game of chess ‘Checkmate’.
