FARNHAM MP Jeremy Hunt has spoken of how a plan that involves "shared spaces" and potentially the part-time pedestrianisation of The Borough would reverse "the biggest disaster in Farnham's history" - its one-way system. Focusing on the impending referendum on the pedestrianisation issue, the MP has spoken about "meeting a brick wall" when talking to Surrey County Council about the town's traffic problems. And in a comment that probably won't sit well with Waverley Borough Council, Mr Hunt has indicated that there is no certainty that the East Street redevelopment will go ahead, but claims the traffic changes he proposes will be beneficial, whether the project proceeds or not.
