A 79-year-old woman was hurt in a fall after having her purse snatched near Boots in Farnham.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the theft, which took place around 3.15pm on November 23 as the pensioner was walking from Central car park, up the steps to Boots.
The suspect is described as a white woman with short dark hair, of slim build, wearing a white hooded top, with a navy blue jacket over the top and white trainers.
The victim sustained minor injuries as she fell and was suffering from shock, according to police.
The stolen item was a blue-purple leather 'Radley' ladies purse with a Scottie dog emblem and contained credit cards and cash.
Detective Sergeant Richard Miller, who is investigating the mugging, said: "This was a despicable attack on a vulnerable woman who was out shopping in broad daylight.
"She courteously moved over to let someone pass, only to end up having her purse stolen, and although she only received minor injuries, she was very badly shaken and suffered severe shock.
"I would ask anyone who may have seen or have information about the incident to contact us on 101."
Witnesses should quotecrime reference number WK/12/5226, and can also call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
