He said: “It was great to see over 60 youngsters enjoying their cricket on the opening night, a testament to the hard work the club has put in over the winter to get the session up and running.”
The Barley Mow pub is providing a ‘Children’s Cricket Tea’ on Friday evenings from 4pm until 7pm with a discount for participants.
Tilford junior cricket coaching forms part of the ECB’s new All Stars programme designed to get children enjoying cricket from an early age.
Each child that signs up gets their own bat, kit bag and an All Stars cricket top with their name on. They also get to be part of the ECB’s national junior cricket network.
