LOCAL residents turned out in force to demonstrate fierce opposition to a controversial proposal to site a private pet crematorium in a disused chalk pit at Ropley.
The application, by a Horndean-based couple, is for the change of use of The Dell, Petersfield Road, Monkwood, into a private pet cemetery.
