A CASH mountain is being built up by Petersfield town councillors which could force them to give residents a town council tax-free year, it was claimed this week.

New Tory councillor Bob Ayer, who was elected on to the Liberal-Democrat-dominated town council last May, has been questioning the finances of the town council for several months.
