A NEW motel for the centre of Petersfield could be back on the drawing board and up and running within 18 months, if proposals to build a 40-room Travel Inn come to fruition.

A spokesman for Whitbread's, owners of the Beefeater Red Lion public house on the corner of College Street, said this week that the company was "looking seriously" at a new plan.
