Petersfield moved up to fourth in the table with this fine win against Blandford at Bohunt on Saturday.
Showing great determination from the start, Petersfield soon gained the upper hand. John Phillips, Dean Tutt and Tim Powell linked well up front, Bill Ashworth was in inspired form at right-half, and Matthew Williams and Marcus Handley provided a solid centre to the midfield.
Phillips opened the scoring, having been played in behind the Blandford defence by Handley.
Petersfield continued to dominate and Tutt, having twice gone close to scoring, followed up a short corner to make it 2-0.

Roads underwater as isolated flooding reported around Herald & Post areaPetersfield were unlucky not to be awarded a penalty flick or two as Blandford got away with some questionable tackles.
Instead, the visitors managed to pull a goal back just before half-time, when a reverse stick shot eluded David Greetham.
The second half found Petersfield again controlling play for long periods. Tutt scored his second goal and then Tim Powell converted a short-corner move at the far post to make the game safe at 4-l.
Petersfield then slackened the pace, although Handley was unlucky not to score from a penetrating run. Blandford scored a consolation goal from a short corner, but the Petersfield rearguard were always in control.
