BUSINESS has been booming for Bordon and Whitehill petrol stations this week and there has been plenty of petrol to go round.

As widespread petrol panic swept Britain with reports of petrol blockades and protesting threats, local petrol stations reported 'business as usual'.

Shell's petrol station on High Street, Bordon, had calmed down by Wednesday with two new fuel deliveries arriving in time for the morning rush.

Assistant manager, Denise Martin, said: "We nearly ran out of unleaded on Tuesday. It's been extra busy. We have had a lot more customers filling up jerry cans."

A spokesman for Sleaford Service Station on Farnham Road said: There's an increase in demand in our forecourts, but it's business as normal as far as we're concerned."

Woolmer Service Station in Bordon refused to comment on the current situation.
