ALL creatures great and small will be welcome at an open air pet service being organised by three local churches at the Devil’s Punch Bowl, in Hindhead, on Sunday.
The community celebration service and blessing of animals will be held next to the Punch Bowl Cafe, starting at 3pm.
The service is being organised by St Albans Church, Hindhead, Beacon Hill United Reformed Church, and St Anselm’s Catholic Church, Hindhead, in association with the National Trust.
Vicar of St Albans Church, Hindhead, Rev Richard Bodle said all pets are welcome, from hamsters to horses, along with dogs on leads, for the short service which is expected to last around 30 minutes.
“We thought it would be something we could do together as churches and a chance for the community to get together and celebrate, outside in the countryside at a wonderful location.
“We are grateful to National Trust head ranger Matt Cusack for his support.”
