YOUNG pals Ava and Zachary cooled down with an ice cream as the temperature topped a whopping 30C (86F) at Petersfield Heath on Tuesday.

The town basked in a belated summer heatwave all week, with the mercury nudging up close to 90F in the earlier part of the week.
