The Petersfield pilot who helped the fugitive Asil Nadir escape to Cyprus nearly 20 years ago said the business tycoon "should not have come back", after he was jailed for 10 years this week.
The former Polly Peck boss who returned to England to clear his name, was convicted of stealing millions of pounds from the company.
Peter Dimond, who was himself jailed for his part in the escape plot before being freed on appeal in 1999, told The Herald: "I don't feel bitter towards him.
"He had been a prisoner on his own island for many years before he came back, but what goes round comes round."
