BIRDWORLD was taken over by some rather mischievous pirates, who have hosted a load of swashbuckling fun all around the park.

Last Monday saw the park invaded by pirates as part of the park’s special pirate activity week. The event saw the park’s regular penguin feeding sessions commandeered by pirates causing mischief and hiding treasure.

The themed days included a treasure map pirate trail, pirate arts and crafts and pirate face painting.

Mike Morath, assistant park manager at Birdworld, said: “It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves in the sunshine at Birdworld over the week.

“The Birdworld team have done a great job getting into the swing of things and even our youngest of visitors were able to get involved with the fun and games.”
