FEARS that Waverley's lack of an updated Local Plan could cost taxpayers many thousands of pounds in developers' contributions were voiced by Tory and UKIP borough councillors this week.
A splinter group of four concerned Tory councillors have branded as "unacceptable", the decision taken by the executive on November 5 to agree a timetable in which it will take two more years - until November 2015 - before the borough has an adopted Local Plan in place.
The process could take even longer.
