HEALTH risks, dust and pollution are among the reasons why the application for a landfill site at Grooms Farm should be turned down, Hampshire County Council officers have recommended.

The planning application, submitted by waste company Grundon, to extract clay from the Frith End site and in-fill the void with inert and household waste, as well as APC (incinerator) residue, should be decided when the county council's roads and development sub committee meet on Monday, January 15.
