DEVELOPERS hoping to be granted permission for a new nine-house scheme to be built on the former site of Portland House have had their bid rejected.

Bellway Southeast, the developers responsible for the Bishops Keep development, failed to gain permission for the five two-bedroom and four three-bedroom homes on the junction of Manor Road and Hale Road.
