PLANS have been submitted to convert much-loved former cafe The Barn in Old Kiln Yard off West Street, Farnham, into a bedsit.

The Barn, which served as a live music and arts venue as well as a vegetarian cafe during its short lifespan, closed in 2014 shortly before the opening of the adjacent Poundland.

Its new owners claim there has been “no interest” in reopening the cafe and believes a single-storey one-bedroom bedsit would be “ideal for a student or young professional person”.
