A NEW outline planning application has been submitted for 120 homes to the west of Green Lane, Badshot Lea.
The application by Lamron Developments Management Ltd, proposes a mix of 42 two-bedroom flats and 77 two to three-bedroom houses on an eight-acre green field adjoining the Badshot Lea Colts football ground.
It includes 35 ‘affordable’ homes to be made available at a reduced market rate, and adds to a growing list of large developments proposed in the countryside between Farnham and Aldershot.
As well as the new Green Lane application, in coming months Waverley Borough Council is poised to decide on applications for 189 new homes at Farnham Park Hotel in Hale Road, 56 homes at Bindon House in Monkton Lane and 71 homes on land west of St George’s Road - a combined total of 436 potential new dwellings.
In addition, a bid to build 140 homes in Lower Weyborne Lane was refused in July, and an application for 99 homes at Little Acres Nursery was withdrawn by the applicant in September. A further application, for 30 houses on land to the east of Low Lane in Badshot Lea was refused by Waverley in June and appealed this week.
The Green Lane application can be viewed online at www.waverley.gov.uk/planning by searching for reference WA/2015/2283. The latest date for public comments is given as January 8, 2016 with 11 objecting and none in support registered to-date.
