WAVERLEY Borough Council has issued a ‘notice of intention’ to undertake the compulsory purchase of The Marlborough Head pub.

The notice enables Waverley to acquire the Greene King-owned pub in East Street as well as several other pockets of land deemed crucial to its Brightwells regeneration scheme before a deadline to do so expires in mid-September.
