WAVERLEY Borough Council has granted planning permission for a dozen new homes in Hurlands Close off Badshot Lea Road.

The plans proposed by Highpath Developments Ltd involve the demolition of two “tired” properties at 25 and 27 Hurlands Close to be replaced by six pairs of semi-detached two and three-bedroom homes.

Councillors gave their overwhelming support to the plans voting nine in favour with just one abstention, stating that it was a good use of the land.
