One of the UK’s top house-builders is inviting people to see its plans for 65 new homes on land at Hawthorns off Hale Road.

Miller Homes, which turned over £1.16 billion in 2022, will be holding a public consultation event later this month to share its detailed proposals.

Outline planning permission for up to 65 homes – including affordable housing, public open space, associated landscaping and infrastructure – was granted for the site at appeal in February 2023.

This came after a government inspector overturned Waverley Borough Council’s refusal of planning permission as the council was behind on its government housing targets.

Miller Homes is now preparing a reserved matters planning application, which will set the finer details of the plans for the site.

These plans include a number of one and two-bedroom apartments and one, two, three and four-bedroom houses to meet local housing need.

The drop-in event will take place on Wednesday, March 13, from 2pm to 7pm at The Six Bells pub, 55 Hale Rd, Farnham, GU9 9QZ.

Following the event, all information displayed on the day will be uploaded online, giving those unable to attend the opportunity to view the plans and leave their feedback.
