Plans for 56 new homes on land to the rear of Monkton House in Farnham are moving forward following the submission of a detailed planning application.
An application has been made to Waverley Borough Council seeking approval of reserved matters for the development on land formerly known as Bindon House, off Monkton Lane, near Farnham Rugby Club.
The submission follows outline planning permission granted on appeal, which established the principle of residential development on the site. The current application deals with reserved matters including the appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of the scheme.
If approved, the development would deliver 56 dwellings, with 40 percent affordable housing, in line with planning policy.
The application has been submitted by Cove Construction Limited, based in Aldershot, with planning agent Neame Sutton Limited, of Waterlooville.
The site lies close to existing homes and countryside, and the reserved matters stage will consider how the scheme integrates with its surroundings, including access arrangements, landscaping and building design.
The application is now open for public comment. Residents can view the plans on Waverley Borough Council’s planning website and submit comments before a decision is made.
