A PLANNING application has been submitted for an underground carbon-negative eco-house in Frensham.

If approved by Waverley Borough Council, the innovative three bedroom home will be heated by a water source heat pump in an adjacent lake and supplied 100 per cent of its electricity by solar panels.

Any excess electricity from the solar panels will be fed to a electric car charging point, while electricity generated during car journeys can also be reserved in the house’s battery storage.

The house has been designed by Farnham’s BWP Architects and is located on land at the junction of Summerfield Lane and Frensham Heights Road.
