OUTLINE plans to build a major new estate on the edge of Petersfield have been lodged with the South Downs National Park Authority.
Permission could lead to the biggest development for a generation in the town with up to 230 homes proposed for the Causeway Farm site.
The joint application by Barratt Homes, landowners 4LL and Bovis Homes comes two months after a public exhibition at the Festival Hall.
Representatives said at the October 16 event they were confident of submitting an outline application before Christmas.
