PLANS for a three-storey office block to replace Expedier House at the British Car Auctions site in Portsmouth Road, Hindhead, received a unanimous seal of approval from members of Waverley's southern area planning committee last week.

The scheme, which has been amended following the deletion of plans to erect six houses on land adjacent to Moorlands Close, has raised numerous objections among neighbouring residents, who are concerned that an increase in traffic would lead to further congestion, loss of amenities and additional rat-running, and might prejudice further improvements to the A3.
