ELIZABETH Ward OBE, whose son Timothy died as a result of kidney failure, was the founder of the British Kidney Patient Association and an instrumental campaigner for the introduction of organ donor cards.

She spoke to reporter Sheila Checkley about the hard times and the help for others that has come out of her son’s and her struggles.
