A DOUBLE dose of snow has brought pain and pleasure to thousands of people around Petersfield and East Hampshire.

Youngsters gave a masterclass in having fun last Friday as heavy snow forced the closure of practically every school in the area.

Up to six inches of the white stuff fell on communities across the district, with even more on Butser and the South Downs.
