POTTERS Gate Sure Start Children’s Centre held a free fun day for families, providing a variety of activities for children, parents, grandparents and carers.
The children enjoyed being creative with Farnham Maltings Pop-Up Craft team, and everyone loved seeing the array of intriguing creatures that the Darwin’s Kingdom team brought along for the day.
This included snakes, a tarantula, a Tenrec from Madagascar, which looked like a hedgehog but is related to elephants, and Roly the tegu lizard from Argentina.
Children had great time taking part in the sports activities and the orienteering challenge provided by the Waverley Sport and Leisure Team. The sun shone down brightly and everyone was able to enjoy their picnics in the sunshine.
Potters Gate would like to thank the organisations and volunteer helpers for coming along and making the event such a success, as they couldn’t have done it without them. They would also like to thank all of the families who came along and had fun.
Potters Gate Children’s Centre provides various activities for families with babies and children up to five years old and has a wide range of information for parents and carers.
