SHOWSHACK Dance and Theatre School’s, Showshack’s Got Talent, was hailed a huge success, as participates battled it out for top spot.
The competition was open to all students across the whole school and each was invited to audition with whatever act they could think of creating. There were solo performances, group dances, devised drama pieces and much more into the bargain.
According to teachers, the students all came out in full force with an “amazing turn out of hopeful auditionees”. All acts were considered and whittled down to a list of finalists who got the chance to perform in the grand final last month at Weydon School.
Showshack was lucky enough to be joined by some inspirational guest judges for the evening including a top London agent, a director and producer, a West End musician and a musical theatre actress and dancer, who had to decide on the winners.
The overall winner was six-year-old Amy Santos-Eagle who auditioned against more than 80 different acts ranging from five to 15 years old.
