THERE was fun in the sun when Tongham Parish Council hosted a Fun Day to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the opening of the community centre.
Held on September 1 at the recreation ground, it also celebrated the new play area and outdoor gym, supplied by manufacturer and street furniture supplier, Broxap.
The Scout troop provided tea and cakes, a member of St Paul’s Infant School provided face-painting and youngsters enjoyed the bouncy slide.
Council chairman Les Oakley said he was “delighted” with the play areas and thanked Guildford Borough Council for its support.
