PEOPLE in Rowledge were left feeling "abandoned" by Surrey County Council after the heavy snowfall left the village cut off for almost a week.

One Rowledge resident said feelings were "running high" in the village after no roads were cleared or gritted by the council, causing "lethal" driving conditions for residents.
