POLICE are appealing for information following an accident in Bramdean, near Alresford, last Friday afternoon (October 20) which, they believe, could be linked to a poaching incident.
The accident happened around 4.15pm when a Ford Transit and a Suzuki Grand Vitara were in collision at Brockwood Bottom, off the main A272 road.
After the accident, all of the occupants of the Suzuki Grand Vitara fled the scene.
The two men travelling in the Ford Transit, one in his 30s, the other in his 60s, were unhurt.
Investigating officer Pc Lee Skinner said: “We are appealing for information to help locate the people involved in this collision. We believe the vehicle (the Suzuki) was involved in a poaching incident in Bramdean a short time before the collision.
“There was a cyclist who we think witnessed the incident but did not leave their details. If you know this person, or if this was you, please call us.”
In asking anyone who saw the incident, or who may know someone involved, to come forward, Pc Skinner added: “It is possible that they may have been injured in the collision.”
Any witnesses should call Hampshire Police on 101, quoting 44170408679, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
